Mor Bihan: Little Sea in Breton

Sheltered from the swell in Southern Brittany, the Gulf of Morbihan is a real small inland sea. A magical place where the sea, the land and the sky mingle in changing and unusual landscapes. The Golfe du Morbihan is part of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club.

The "Mor-Bihan", a small sea in Breton, was invaded by the waters of the Atlantic several millennia ago, when the rivers had already dug their beds. This is why the Ocean ventures so far inland towards Vannes and Auray through rias with a typically Breton character, it surrounds the ancient hills in a veritable archipelago: île aux Moines, île d'Arz, countless islands and islets, rocky or wooded, sometimes bearing a fishermen's hamlet or simply clouds of birds.

Only a gully one kilometre wide between Port-Navalo en Arzon and Locmariaquer separates the "Mor-Bihan" from the ocean.

To discover

Go from one turquoise blue to another, escape for the time of the cruise, enjoy the beach of the Monks' Island during your stopover or rent bikes to ride it.

There are also many hiking trails to go around the island, or visit it by land! Count until 3:30 am to go to the tip of NIOUL.

Every 4 years, participate in the Gulf Week events. For a few days during the Ascension Weekend, a parade of boats follow one another in the Gulf and the various flotillas in the evening return to the ports ... allowing the festivities to continue on land.
